Introducing Bekir Labs
Today we are giving The Architect a permanent home. Bekir Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation, is now the company behind the product — the entity that builds it, operates it, and answers for it.
Nothing changes for the people who use The Architect. Same product, same team, same prices, same support inbox. Your subscription carries over untouched, and your journal remains what it has always been: encrypted on your device, unreadable to us. This is corporate scaffolding, not a pivot.
But scaffolding matters, because of what we intend to build on it.
Why a lab
We named the company a lab because that is honestly how it runs. Bekir Labs is deliberately small — founder-led, with frontier AI systems working alongside us as colleagues in the daily operation of the company. We write software with the same instruments we ask our users to trust, and we treat that as a source of judgment, not just leverage: we know exactly what this technology can do, because we live inside it all day.
The lab's first result is The Architect: an AI journal with a spine. You write; a mentor you choose writes back — remembers what you said, notices what you repeat, and pushes back when it matters. It is live on the web in English, Spanish, and Turkish, and it is coming to the App Store and Google Play as a native app under this company's name.
What we hold constant
Companies drift. Principles written down in public drift more slowly. So, in public:
- Privacy is structural, not stated. Journals are encrypted client-side before they reach us. We hold ciphertext. This is not a policy that could quietly change in an update — it is the architecture, and it stays.
- Honesty over comfort. Our products exist to make people clearer, not to keep them scrolling. If a feature makes The Architect more flattering and less true, it does not ship.
- Users are the customer. The Architect is a paid product. Nobody else is paying for your attention, so nobody else is the customer.
- Built for decades. A journal is a lifelong document. We intend to be the kind of company you can leave one with.
What comes next
Native apps, first. Then more instruments — for decisions, for memory, for the conversations people have with themselves. We will write about the work here as we go, including the parts that are hard.
